Orlando Bloom sheds proud tears as Katy Perry performs at 'Celebrating America'

Orlando Bloom has revealed he shed a “tear of joy” as his fiancee Katy Perry performed at US President Joe Biden’s inauguration concert.

The singer belted out her massive hit Firework during the special Celebrating America television broadcast, which was hosted by Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and featured an array of stars including Justin Timberlake and John Legend.

Bloom later took to Instagram to share his pride in his partner, saying the couple’s four-month-old daughter Daisy Dove would watch the special moment when she was bigger.

Sharing a clip from the event, he said: “One day our little girl will grow up and see her mother play her part in a moment in history that we hope will heal, we hope will unite, we hope, we love.

“One proud partner here with a tear of joy.”

Perry also shared video and pictures from the historic event, including one of her and Bloom behind the scenes together.

She also posted a snap of her patriotic microphones, with one emblazoned with the US flag and another covered in sparkling stars.

Perry and Bloom got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019 after dating each other on and off for three years.

Daisy is the couple's first child together, while Pirates Of The Caribbean star Bloom is also dad to 10-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Perry was married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
