Orlando City match vs. Minnesota United delayed due to storms

Orlando City's MLS is Back Tournament semifinal match against Minnesota United has been delayed indefinitely due to storms in the area.

The highly anticipated matchup between the Lions and former Orlando City coach Adrian Heath’s current team was supposed to kick off at 8 p.m. and air ESPN2.

Lightning strikes continue in the ESPN Wide World of Sports area. MLS rules require an absence of any nearby lightning strikes for about 30 minutes before teams can take the field to warm up.

Orlando City is competing for a spot in an MLS tournament championship for the first time in the franchise’s history.

The Lions delivered good news for fans during the delay, releasing a starting lineup that includes forward Chris Mueller. He injured his shoulder during a quarterfinal matchup with powerhouse LAFC and left the contest. Mueller watched the remainder of the match from the sideline while wearing a sling to limit his movement.
