Orlando community joins local organizations for Martin Luther King Jr. parade
Orlando residents came out to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy Saturday.

The MLK Parade passed through the streets of downtown Orlando and started at Orange Avenue.

2023 marks the 39th year that the parade has taken place.
Sheriff John Mina and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies were in attendance.

The event featured dance, community organizations and music. This year’s parade theme was “It Starts with Me: Cultivating a Beloved Community Mindset to Break the Cycle of Injustice.”
Orlando will also have a prayer breakfast and other community service opportunities on Monday.
