Orlando Fight for Air Climb raises $104K for lung disease, honors first responders

More than 300 people participated in Saturday’s Fight for Air Climb in Orlando.

The American Lung Association in Florida hosted the 16th annual climb at the City National Bank Building.

Participants climbed 25 flights and 512 steps at the building on North Orange Avenue, where the Lung Association originally held the climb.

The organization said Orlando residents raised over $104,000 to help fight lung cancer, promote clean air, and support families whose loved ones suffer from lung disease.

The air climb also recognizes the health risks firefighters and first responders endure.

This year, the Lung Association featured the Austin Duran Firefighter Challenge to honor first responders battling lung disease.
