Magic guard Terrence Ross returns to bubble after leaving for non-coronavirus testing

Two days after leaving the NBA’s bubble for testing, Orlando Magic guard Terrence Ross returned to Walt Disney World on Tuesday and is quarantining, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Ross left the bubble on Sunday after their loss to the Boston Celtics to undergo testing related to a “personal, non-COVID medical matter,” the team said. It’s not clear what the medical matter is or what testing he underwent, though he did so at the recommendation of an NBA physician.

It’s unclear how long Ross will have to quarantine before he can rejoin the team, though it will have to be at least four days.

“He said he feels fine, feels good. Now we’re just waiting on word from the league on how long his quarantine will be,” Orlando coach Steve Clifford said, via the Sentinel. “There’s still things he can do. He won’t de-condition that much. He had done a lot of work and he’s in really good shape.”

Ross has averaged 14.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game off the bench this season for the Magic, his eighth in the league.

The 29-year-old missed their 108-96 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, and will miss their final seeding game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. Assuming his quarantine doesn’t last longer than four days, Ross should be back with the Magic in time for their first round playoff series against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks next week.
