Orlando Pride trade Sydney Leroux to Angel City FC

Sydney Leroux is on the move after the Orlando Pride traded her Wednesday to Angel City FC for a 2024 natural first-round pick and $75,000 in allocation money.
The Pride can earn an additional $10,000 in 2022 and $10,000 in 2023 should performanced-based conditions be met by the forward.
Leroux, 32, joined Orlando City in 2018 in a trade with Utah Royals FC. She totaled 18 goals across all competitions and 4 assists, in 63 appearances.
”I’d like to thank the Club, the fans and the community for embracing me and my family over the past five seasons,” Leroux said via statement. “We had many exciting memories and moments throughout my time here, and I always will remember my time in Orlando fondly.”
Before the 2022 season, the Pride traded popular captains Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris to Gotham FC.
