Orlando’s reopened Earth Fare closes again

The Earth Fare organic grocery store south of downtown Orlando is expected to close once again after previously shutting down and reopening in recent years.

The store, at 9 W. Gore St., posted on Facebook Tuesday it planned to close and is offering a 20% off storewide discount. The Facebook post did not include a specific closing date.

In 2020, Earth Fare closed the SoDo neighborhood location as well as one in Lake Nona and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The Lake Nona store had opened in 2018 and the SoDo store first opened in 2019.

After the closures, a new ownership group revitalized the chain and reopened the 24,000-square-foot site south of downtown in 2021.

Earth Fare still has other Florida locations in Lady Lake, Ocala and Oldsmar.
