Orlando Science Center: Beer fest raises glasses, funds

Orlando Science Center is mixing suds and fundraising with Science on Tap, an outdoor beer festival at Loch Haven Park on Jan. 20.

Ticketholders will sample a range of libations from more than 30 local breweries during the event. The festival will also include interactive science demos, live music, lawn games and access to food trucks with items available for purchase.

Proceeds from Science on Tap propel the museum’s effort to inspire science learning for everyone through experiences that build skills.

Tickets are $60. VIP tickets, which allow entry an hour early and two full pours, are $90. For non-drinkers, there’s a designated driver/no alcohol ticket for $30. Tickets are for the beer event, not for entry into the science center.

Event hours are 1-4 p.m., except for VIP ticketholders, who can enter at noon.
