Orlando Science Center set for adults-only night Saturday

Science Night Live, the adults-only evening event at Orlando Science Center, returns to the museum Saturday. It will feature access to “Dogs! A Science Tail,” a freshly installed exhibit that looks at canine life, including their senses, behavior and communication.

Note that animal entry for Saturday’s event will be limited to service animals, but visitors will be able to share photos of their pooches as part of the exhibit.

The evening will also include a presentation by Dr. Benjamin Service, an orthopedic surgeon with Orlando Health, on the topic of “Personalized Surgery Using Mixed Reality: The Future of Surgery.” He will talk about future operating rooms using virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality technologies.

Science Night Live includes access to all four levels of the Loch Haven Park museum, including The Hive: A Makerspace and Dr. Dare Lab experiments, plus programs for science trivia, stargazing on the terrace and “Mess With Your Milk,” which looks at making fresh cheese and butter.
