Orlando Solar Bears kick off a new hockey season this weekend

Orlando hockey fans won’t have to wait any longer.

The Orlando Solar Bears will open its 11th season of ECHL hockey on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

At the first game of the 2022-2023 season, the Solar Bears will play against the Jacksonville Icemen.

The team announced the club’s opening night roster on Thursday, which includes a few rookies and returning veterans.

Their home schedule will begin on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at the AdventHealth Rink at Amway Center.
