Orlando woman killed, 2 injured in crash at Cody's Corner in western Flagler County, FHP reports

An Orlando woman was killed Sunday and two people suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash at Cody's Corner in western Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 4:49 p.m. at State Road 11 and County Road 304, known as Cody's Corner, which was the scene of another fatal accident earlier this year.

In Sunday's crash, a 44-year-old Orlando woman driving an SUV was stopped in the westbound lane on County Road 304 at the stop sign at State Road 11, according to FHP.

The SUV pulled into the path of a sedan heading south on State Road 11, FHP stated.

The sedan struck the right side of the SUV, causing it to overturn and both vehicles wound up on the west shoulder of State Road 11, according to FHP.

The sedan was driven by an 82-year-old man and was also occupied by a passenger, a 79-year-old woman, both from The Villages, FHP stated. They both suffered serious injuries, FHP stated.

All three people were wearing seatbelts, according to FHP.

A 32-year-old Port Orange woman was killed in a crash at the same site May 31.

She was driving a sedan eastbound on County Road 304 when FHP said she "violated" the stop sign at State Road 11. Her sedan collided with an SUV heading north on State Road 11, causing the SUV to overturn, FHP stated.

The SUV driver, a 53-year-old Weston man, suffered minor injuries, FHP stated.

The sedan's driver was not wearing a seatbelt while the SUV driver was, according to FHP.
