New Orleans pup to compete in Puppy Bowl XX
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A New Orleans pup is heading to the big game, the Puppy Bowl!
Happening Sunday, Feb. 11, Beignet will join 15 other four-legged friends in Puppy Bowl XX. According to Discovery, he will represent his hometown as a part of “Team Fluff” to compete against “Team Ruff.”
Little Beignet is a Dachshund mix from Take Paws Rescue on Banks Street.
Champion named for 2024 Greasing of the Poles at The Royal Sonesta New Orleans
“Beignet has been a fighter since day one, after having been rejected by his mother at birth. When Take Paws was contacted to save his life, we jumped in and made it happen. He had to be bottle-fed every hour, as he weighed only a few ounces. So, it’s no surprise that he ended up in a contest that would bring him great notoriety and another challenge to further prove his will to succeed! He’s our little miracle baby and we could not be more proud of him!” said Take Paws Rescue Founder and Director Monique C. Bonnaffons.
The public has the chance to vote for their favorite tail-wagging tyke in the “Pupularity Playoffs.”
