New Orleans schools to receive electric school buses
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Some New Orleans schools are set to receive new electric school buses.
According to A&S Transportation, the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean School Bus Grant Program will allow for A&S to add new electric school buses to its fleet of zero emission vehicles.
Longer wait times but more efficiency for New Orleans RTA buses, leaders say
The following school districts will receive the buses:
Eleanor McMain Secondary School
McDonogh 35 Senior High School
Pierre A. Capdau School
Warren Easton Charter Foundation Inc.
Wilson Charter School
“We are thrilled by the grant awards, as the funds will greatly assist us in providing our partners with the best in class ‘clean fueled’ vehicles,” said National Express, LLC Senior Director of Electric Vehicles Nick Voisard.
This new set of electric school buses is set to roll out this year.
