Award-winning Filipino actor Dolly De Leon has joined the cast of Amazon action-comedy film "Grand Death Lotto."

De Leon, who recently received best supporting actress nominations at the Golden Globes and BAFTAs for her role in "Triangle of Sadness," is set to join a star-studded cast that includes Simu Liu, Awkwafina and John Cena.

Announced earlier this month, the film is helmed by “Bridesmaids” director Paul Feig and produced by Amazon Studios. Ayden Mayeri ("Somebody I Used to Know"), Seann William Scott ("Welcome to Flatch") and Donald Elise Watkins ("Project Artemis") have also been recently announced to be part of the cast.

De Leon, 53, gained international recognition and several awards for her role as Abigail in the critically acclaimed film by Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund, including best supporting actress at Sweden's Guldbbage Awards and at the Los Angeles Films Critics Association Awards. De Leon's role in "Grand Death Lotto" has yet to be revealed.

The film is set in the near future where the winner of the "Grand Lottery" can be legally killed before sundown, allowing the killer to claim the billion-dollar prize.

In the film, L.A. transplant Katie (Awkwafina), hires amateur jackpot protector Noel (Cena) after she accidentally wins the lottery. A rival protector named Louis Lewis (Liu) also wants to ensure Katie makes it to sundown so he can claim the commission for himself.

Prime Video shared a first look of "Grand Death Lotto" on Twitter featuring Cena, Awkwafina and director Feig posing like spies and holding prop weapons.
