An Oskaloosa man and lifelong superfan of "Wheel of Fortune" spun and won.

Cory Houser, who has been a fan of the game show his entire life, appeared on a Wednesday evening episode of the Emmy Award-nominated program hosted by Pat Sajak featuring Vanna White.

Contestants solve word puzzles on "Wheel of Fortune" to win prizes and trips. The contestant with the most money at the end of the first portion of the show wins a big prize, such as a vehicle or $40,000 cash, if they solve the final puzzle. Each contestant selected for the show wins a minimum of $1,000.

As a child, Houser dressed up as the "wheel" with Christmas lights and after Halloween, he put the "Wheel" on a lazy Susan and hosted "Wheel of Fortune" games around the kitchen table with his family.

As a kid, Houser's parents created business cards that said, “Your Game Show Host, Cory Brian Houser," for his birthday.

When Houser discovered he would be a contestant, he jumped up and down around the house with his family, a news release from the show said. He continues to watch the show every night with his wife and four children.
