Oskaloosa's Leonard signs with Concordia-Chicago
May 5—OSKALOOSA — Oskaloosa's William Leonard signed his letter of intent on Wednesday to continue his education, cross country and track career at Concordia-Chicago in River Forest, Illinois.
Leonard has been a consistent fixture on Oskaloosa's cross country and track teams during his high school career. He ran sub-20 minute times for the cross country team in the fall and has been a part of the distance events for the track team this spring most recently helping Osky's 4x800 take sixth in the conference meet.
Leonard joins the Cougars, a Division III program, along with track and field head coach Steve Belanger, who has coached six All-Americans since taking over at Concordia-Chicago in 2019.
