Basketball is a funny game. The Oklahoma State men's basketball team had been struggling, hovering around the .500 mark. Then the Cowboys, coming off a blowout loss to No. 19-ranked Texas Tech, beat top-ranked Baylor 61-54 on Saturday in Waco, Texas, no less.

Former Tulsa Washington High School star Bryce Thompson led the Cowboys with 19 points.

OSU beat a top-ranked team since it defeated Kansas in 2010.

"I know the kind of people we have in the locker room, what kind of heart we have," OSU coach Mike Boynton said. "I know that these guys have bee disappointed that they haven't been able to get the job done prior to today this week."

The Cowboys improved to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in the Big 12.
