The inconsistency bug bit the Oklahoma State men's basketball team. After winning its last two games, the Cowboys sputtered in a 56-51 Big 12 loss at No. 23-ranked Texas.

Although the score was close at the end, the Cowboys trailed 11-0 early in the game. A frustrated coach Mike Boynton called a timeout. OSU came back and actually led for nearly 10 minutes. But the offense dried up, and the Longhorns came out with the victory in front of 13,203 fans.

"I wasn't surprised that they started the game off as well as they did," Boynton said of Texas. "I was more surprised that we didn't respond before the timeout."

OSU guard Rondel Walker said: "It's very frustrating. I just don't see how we don't come out with a certain assertiveness and aggressiveness towards the other team. I feel like it shouldn't take us getting down 11-0 to wake up."

OSU fell to 10-8 overall and 3-4 in the league.
