OSU Extension: 4-H Craft Show at the fairgrounds this Saturday

Make plans to attend the Fairfield County 4-H Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds. Vendors will be in the Ed Sands building, the AAA building and the Beef Barn. You will have the opportunity to visit with 130 vendors at this year’s event making it the 4-H Advisory Committee’s largest craft show yet. Also, be sure to bring an unwrapped toy for the local firefighters' Toys for Tots Program.

Oakland Grocery will also be on hand with free Perry’s ice cream cones for all. Donations will be asked for the ice cream and will be given back to the 4-H Youth Development program in Fairfield County.

There is no cost to enter the show and no cost to park on the Fairgrounds. Make plans now to come to the 4-H Christmas in July Craft and Vendor Show and maybe even plan to stop by the Old Fashioned Farmers Market for some fresh fruits and veggies too! The Fairfield County Fairgrounds is definitely the place to be this Saturday!

Mid States Wool Growers “Woolen Square” Sale

For many years the place to buy the best and warmest wool sweaters was the “Woolen Square” store associated with Mid States Wool Growers. It is now time for their final sale of men and women’s sweaters, slippers and wool socks and more.

The sale will be held at the Mid-State Wool Growers facility located at 9449 Basil Western Road near Canal Winchester from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 and Friday, Aug. 11. All sales will be final. This would be a great opportunity to do a little early holiday shopping or possibly find the perfect sweater to coordinate for the Guys and Gals Lead Wool Competition at the Fairfield County Fair.
