Oklahoma Wesleyan University's men's basketball team has both the date and time to begin its quest for a double championship in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Eagles (25-3, 20-2) burst to the KCAC regular season crown and now take aim on the KCAC postseason tourney, which will finalize the conference's two automatic berths in the NAIA national playoffs.

OKWU plays host Wednesday to Ottawa (Kan.) University (9-13) to open the KCAC tourney. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The tourney's championship game is planned for next week at the Hartman Arena in Kansas.

During the regular season, OKWU pounded Ottawa, 98-64, and 74-57.

Other first round matchups in the KCAC tourney are: Bethany (Kan.) College (14-8) at Southwestern (Kan.) College (16-6); York (Neb.) University (11-11) at Bethel (Kan.) College (16-6); and Sterling (Kan.) College (10-12) at Kansas Wesleyan University (19-3).

As the KCAC regular season king, OKWU already has clinched a spot in the NAIA regionals. If the Eagles were to win the tourney title, it would strengthen their seeding, and momentum, in national action.
