OU men's basketball: Sooners add Nevada point guard transfer Grant Sherfield

OU men’s basketball has its point guard.

Grant Sherfield, a Nevada transfer, committed to the Sooners on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. Sherfield is also already in OU's student database.

Sherfield initially declared for the NBA Draft last month before instead deciding to transfer.

With Jordan Goldwire’s eligibility up and Umoja Gibson transferring to DePaul, coach Porter Moser’s squad needed to add an experienced backcourt player.
