OU softball’s 2023 schedule is complete: See the full list of opponents, dates
NORMAN — OU's softball schedule includes meetings with 20 NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago including four that made the Women's College World Series.
It also features a home game against Florida State, the team the Sooners beat in the 2021 WCWS Championship Series.
The schedule, which was released Wednesday, begins Feb. 9 with the Mark Campbell Invitational in Irvine, California. OU will take on four tournament teams at the event — Duke, Liberty, Stanford and Washington.
The Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in late February in Cathedral City, California, is highlighted by a Feb. 26 matchup with UCLA, which was eliminated by the Sooners in a WCWS semifinal.
The schedule also includes a home tournament March 3-5 that includes Kentucky and Illinois-Chicago.

OU hosts Florida State for the first time in program history March 14. The Seminole are coached by former Sooners standout Lonni Alameda.
The Hall of Fame Classic at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium will feature matchups with Weber State, Auburn, and Northwestern — the team OU knocked off in the first round of last season's WCWS.
Big 12 play begins March 24-26 at Iowa State, with the Sooners' home conference opener coming the next weekend when they host Texas — the team they faced in the WCWS Championship Series.
The Bedlam series closes the regular season May 4-6 in Stillwater.
The Sooners have won back-to-back national championships and have made 12 consecutive appearances in the Super Regionals.
OU went 18-0 at home last season, including sweeps of the NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals.
