OU vs. Iowa State women’s basketball: How to watch, stream and follow live updates

NORMAN — After falling to No. 23 Baylor on Tuesday, OU’s 17th-ranked women’s basketball team has an even bigger challenge Sunday when it hosts No. 11 Iowa State.

The Sooners (11-2, 1-1 Big 12) were swept by the Cyclones a season ago and have dropped four of their last five to Iowa State.

The game will feature two of the three most prolific scorers in the Big 12 in Iowa State’s Ashley Joens (19.5 points per game) and OU’s Madi Williams (17.0). The leading scorer in the Big 12 is Kansas State’s Gabby Gregory, an OU transfer who is averaging 21.3 points per game.

Joens’ younger sister, Aubrey, transferred to Norman in the offseason and enters her first matchup against her former team — and sister — averaging 5.8 points off the bench, shooting 42.9% from beyond the arc.

Here’s a quick look at what you need to know about Sunday’s matchup:

Three things to know about OU vs. Iowa State

• The Sooners’ Taylor Robertson is second in NCAA history with 486 career 3-pointers. Robertson is 11 away from tying the all-time record of 497 by Ohio State’s Kelsey Mitchell. After shooting “just” 35.3% from beyond the arc in the Sooners’ first 10 games, Robertson is 16 of 25 over the past two games.

• Madi Williams needs just five assists to become the first player in school history to record at least 2,000 points, 850 rebounds and 300 assists in their career. If Williams can record 105 more rebounds this season, she would become just the third player in school history — joining Courtney Paris and Molly McGuire — with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in their careers.

• The game is a matchup of two of the highest-powered offenses in the country. OU is fifth in the nation in scoring at 87 points per game, while Iowa State isn’t far behind at 79.7 points per game, second in the Big 12. The Sooners lead the conference with 20.4 assists per game.
