UPDATE: Lanes reopen on WIS 47 in Outagamie County after 4-vehicle crash

WEDNESDAY, 5.1.24 – 1:51 p.m.

CENTER VALLEY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has provided an update on the crash that involved four vehicles on Wednesday morning.

WisDOT stated that all lanes on WIS 47 have now reopened. The incident took roughly two hours to clear.

The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office has told Local 5 that an eastbound SUV on CTH S allegedly pulled out into the intersection in front of two motorcycles. After reportedly hitting the motorcycles, the SUV collided with a semi that was stopped at the intersection.

Deputies noted that the driver of the SUV and the motorcyclists were taken to nearby hospitals.

Original story: Outagamie County motorcycle crash shuts down all lanes on WIS 47, north of Appleton

CENTER VALLEY, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies in Outagamie County say that a crash involving a motorcycle has closed down all lanes of WIS 47 north of Appleton.

WisDOT has also released a notification of the crash, saying that all lanes, both northbound and southbound, of WIS 47 are closed due to a crash at the intersection of CTH S.

Local 5 also got confirmation from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office that the crash involved a motorcycle and that it happened in the Town of Center Valley. Center Valley is north of Appleton and south of Black Creek.

The incident happened around 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday, and WisDOT expects lanes to be closed for roughly two hours.
