Power restored to most after Friday’s heavy rain, wind storms
Power has been restored to most in the Miami Valley after Friday’s heavy rain and wind storms.

Major power outages surged throughout Miami Valley, starting at around 1:10 p.m. Friday as the rain and, more impactfully, the wind intensified.
Utility companies throughout Miami Valley worked with first responders to return power back to their customers. Crews worked from Friday to Saturday morning, fixing mechanical issues through the night.
As of 12:20 p.m. Saturday outages in the Miami Valley dropped below 1,000 customers without power, according to AES Ohio and Duke Energy outage maps.
