Over 200K Pounds Of Ground Turkey Sold As Wegmans Or Nature Promise Brands Could Be Contaminated With Salmonella

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert for about 211,406 pounds of raw ground turkey products sold at Wegman's or as the Nature's Promise brand Saturday.

- And a consumer alert tonight. The USDA says there is a salmonella risk for more than 200,000 pounds of ground turkey. And they come from Plainville brands and were sold in multiple states under the names Nature's Promise, Wegmann, and Plainville Farms. The meat is no longer in stores, we're told, but obviously could still be in your freezers. People in Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, they are among the 28 to get sick from this.
