Over 7,000 Flags Adorn St Louis Park for 9/11 Anniversary

Over 7,000 American flags have been placed across a St Louis park ahead of the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

The flags have been arranged at Forest Park in St Louis, Missouri, to honor each of the nation’s men and women killed in military combat since 9/11, as well as the 412 first responders who died that day.

This drone footage, uploaded by Forest Park Forever, show the flags covering an expanse of the park known as Art Hill.

For the 10th anniversary, Flags of Valor placed 2,977 flags in the park to represent the individuals who died in the attacks in 2001, the organization’s website said. Credit: Steve Jett and Forest Park Forever via Storyful
