This Over-the-top ‘Elf’-themed Hotel Suite in NYC Has All of Buddy’s Favorite Things, Including Spaghetti with Syrup

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. Or, maybe just book a themed hotel room inspired by one of our favorite holiday movies: "Elf."

This year, Club Wyndham’s Midtown 45 will transform one of its one-bedroom suites into the ultimate, holiday-themed room inspired by Buddy the Elf (played by Will Farrell in the movie "Elf").

Just thinking about this room will make you smile. Smiling’s our favorite.

The room will feature a full kitchen, spacious living room, a playlist of Christmas music, an oversized Christmas tree, a door dressed in an elf jacket, lots of paper snowflakes, popcorn, garlands, Buddy’s favorite toys, and other classic Christmas accouterments. The room even has a Lite-Brite welcome message, jack-in-the-box toys under the tree, and a colorful gift wrap mural wall complete with six-inch ribbon curls.

The kitchen is stocked with candy, candy canes, candy corn, maple syrup, and all the things you need to recreate Buddy’s favorite dish (spaghetti with syrup, marshmallows, chocolate sauce, Pop-Tarts, rolls of cookie dough, M&Ms, and a few liters of soda).

“Every detail of this Elf-inspired suite was designed to put families in awe from the moment they walk in,” said Noah Brodsky, chief brand officer for Wyndham Destinations, in a company statement. “Visiting New York City during the holidays is at the top of many travelers’ bucket list, and Club Wyndham wants to help our owners check that list off in a spectacular way. We think there’s no better way to do it than to get families immersed into Buddy the Elf’s whimsical Christmas world.”

In addition, guests in the hotel suite will also get tickets for four to visit the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink for some extra cheer. After all, seeing the giant Rockefeller Christmas tree and going ice skating is the only way to make a holiday in Manhattan complete. The hotel itself is located within walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, Madison Avenue, Park Avenue restaurants, and Fifth Avenue shopping.
