Over two weeks after Prevea and HSHS outage, patients can use MyPrevea, MyChart for first time

MyPrevea and MyChart, where patients can access their medical records online, are back up and running, the health system announced Tuesday morning.

It's the first time patients can check their accounts online since the health system's website, internet, phone, and computer systems went down due to a cyber attack over two weeks ago.

Patients can send messages through MyPrevea and providers will respond as quickly as possible, Prevea and Hospital Sisters Health System said. If you have immediate concerns, the health system advises you to contact your provider's office directly.

HSHS and Prevea restored its EPIC platform, which is their platform for their electronic health records and operates the MyPrevea and MyChart services.

Many phone lines are back up and running, but Prevea and HSHS said it will take more time to get the rest of the systems back up and running.

"We remain focused on restoring the rest of our systems in a methodical manner, which will take time to complete," HSHS and Prevea said in the update Tuesday.
