Update: Overnight ramp closures, Inman Street underpass scheduled in Akron this week
As part of ongoing construction in Akron, several overnight ramp closures scheduled for this week have been pushed back one day. Closures that had initially been for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are now set for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The ramp from Interstate 76 west to State Route 8 north is scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight on Wednesday and Thursday. The detour will be I-76 west to Main Street, to I-76 east to Route 8 north.
Also on Wednesday, Inman Street under I-76 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday. The detours will be 5th Street to Arlington Street, to Clark Street.
On Friday starting at 10 p.m., the ramps from I-76 east and west to I-77 south are scheduled to be closed through Friday at 5 a.m. The detour will be I-76/Kenmore Leg to I-277/U.S. 224 east to I-77 south.
