Oyster & Beer Festival, Cruise In, Labor Day skate party are on tap this weekend

Listen to live music or skate into fall in celebration of Labor Day this weekend in Springfield.

Wayward Motel performs

Enjoy the rock and roll sounds of the group Wayward Motel on Friday.

The show begins at 8 p.m. outside on the big stage at Danenberger Family Vineyards, 12341 Irish Road.

A special performance by Micah Walk will be featured. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Springfield Oyster & Beer Festival

The Springfield Oyster and Beer Festival returns on Saturday.

The festival takes place from noon to 5 p.m., at the Inn at 835, 835 S. 2nd St.

There will be live music, a variety of craft beers, and gourmet oysters. Several food trucks will be at the event including Batemans Bad Dad Pizza, Gyro Stop, and Mad Dog Concessions.

Tickets are $40 at the door.

Chatham Plaza Cruise-In

Witness the beauty of cars of all kinds at the Chatham Plaza Cruise-In on Saturday.

Festivities run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 310 N. Main Plaza.

There will be live music, food from Chatham Cafe, snowcones, and drinks. A free raffle to win a fire pit, car detailing kit, and door prizes will also be available.

Red, White, & Roll

Skate into fall at the Red, White, and Roll summer send-off on Sunday.

The fun happens from 6 to 9 p.m. at Skateland South, 1500 Recreation Drive, Springfield.

Tickets are $15 per person. There will also be a tailgate cookout from 4 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot.

Labor Day Party

Celebrate Labor Day weekend with a party hosted by the Firefighters Lake Club on Sunday.

The party begins at 6 p.m. at the lake club, 940 W. Lake Shore Dr.

There will be fried fish and music by the Brat Pack 80’s music band.
