Oyster roast

Spend the afternoon at the Craford Bay Oyster Roast. It includes all-you-can-eat oysters, soup contest samples and a drink ticket with a souvenir cup. Live music will set the mood for a toe-tapping good time. Hosted by Freedom Boat Club of Hampton Roads, Fish and Slips Marina Raw Bar and Grill, and Tidewater Yacht Marina.

Food drive

Help the James City County Police Department “Stuff the Cruiser” to benefit Williamsburg House of Mercy, Grove Christian Outreach and Chickahominy Baptist Church. The holiday-inspired food drive encourages people to donate stuffing, potatoes, cornbread, canned vegetables, gravy, rolls, pie crust, marshmallows, disposable pans, pie filling and other non-perishable items.

Oyster fest

The Virginia Living Museum invites the community to its Oyster Roast Festival. It features all-you-can-eat oysters, fried seafood, chowder and dessert. Tickets also include a commemorative glass and two beverage tickets for craft beer and wine.

Oysters three ways
