Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne List Sierra Towers Condo for $4.8 Million
First couple of metal Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are getting serious about their move back to England—or are they? They’ve just put the Sierra Towers condo they purchased for $4 million in 2014 back on the market for $4.8 million, according to Dirt. But per the same publication, the couple scooped up the next-door unit in the West Hollywood building for $2.3 million just last year, even after continued announcements of their move.
Since early 2022, the couple have been publicly talking about a move back to England after 20 years of living in the US, citing multiple reasons for relocating. “We are leaving LA. We are a bit sad. But the tax is getting too much," the Prince of Darkness said back in March while on a visit to England. Then in August, he then pointed to gun violence as a reason they planned to depart: “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings,” Ozzy told The Guardian. “It’s f**king crazy…I don’t want to die in America.” But the rock and roller seemed to have a change of heart in November, when music magazine Consequence of Sound quoted him saying, “To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now.”
The couple put their stately Hancock Park home on the market for $17.5 million last summer, but have yet to secure a buyer. They’re hoping to have better luck with their 2,100-square-foot apartment.
Over the years the 1960s-built Sierra Towers have become a pretty popular spot among Tinseltown’s elite. Sandra Bullock, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Adam Sandler, and Emily in Paris star Lily Collins have all owned units in the Jack A. Charney-designed building at some point. Balconies on each of the units of the 31-story tower afford spectacular views of the city and hills, and with a pebbled terrace and floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, the Osbourne residence is no different.
The two-bedroom, three bathroom apartment has an open plan area divided into dining and lounging sections, with an enclosed all-white kitchen featuring an iridescent gray subway tile backsplash. A gracious primary bedroom with a large walk-in closet provides hillside views and a mural of blue skies and white clouds on the ceiling, while a third bedroom with light pink walls has been converted to an office.
Jonah Wilson and Josh Greer of Carolwood Estates hold the listing.
