Pizza Hut Brought Back The Legendary P'Zone To Menus Nationwide

Let's start our week with some good news, shall we? The "legend" menu item that Pizza Hut was teasing last week is indeed the P'Zone, according to a press release. Seventeen years after the fan-favorite's debut, it's back on menus nationwide to celebrate Pizza Hut's return as the Official Pizza of NCAA March Madness.

If you haven't ever tried a P'Zone, you're in for quite the treat. It's a toasted parmesan pizza crust filled with pizza toppings and melted cheese, baked calzone-style, and served with marinara dipping sauce.

There are three P'Zone varieties to choose from: Pepperoni, Supremo, and Meaty. The Supremo is made with Italian sausage, green pepper, red onion, and melted cheese. The Meaty P'Zone is stuffed with pepperoni, ham, beef, pork, and Italian sausage.

Marianne Radley, chief brand officer at Pizza Hut, said, "We are excited to bring back the P'Zone as part of our $5 Lineup during a time when family and friends will be gathering in anticipation and excitement. Even if your team doesn't advance in the tournament, the comeback of the P'Zone is something we know all fans can rally around."

The P'Zone is now available on its own or you can order the Pepperoni P'Zone as part of Pizza Hut's $5 Lineup.

Pizza Hut is making its fans do some sleuth work. The chain posted a tweet today that says, "Here's a mystery for all you internet detectives," with a photo of red curtains on a stage with the words: "A Legend Returns."

The tweet also includes a link to a webpage that has a countdown to when said "legend" is returning to Pizza Hut. According to the site, we can expect the mystery item in approximately two days and eight hours from now. There is plentyyy of speculation about what the pizza-adjacent icon in question may be, though.

Pizza Hut fans immediately began replying to the tweet, and many seem to think the teased item is the beloved P'Zone.

One account that replied is actually called Bring_Back_P'zone, so you know people mean business about the chain's version of a calzone.

Chew Boom reports rumors have been flying for years about the P'Zone's return to Pizza Hut and says "sources indicate that legend is in fact, the P'Zone." We can only hope!

According to a press release from 2011, Pizza Hut offered the P'Zone in several different varieties: Meaty (pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, pork, beef, and cheese), Pepperoni, and Supremo (Italian sausage with fresh green peppers and red onions).

Though it's unclear why Pizza Hut took the P'Zone off menus, it certainly caused a ruckus with fans. We'll have to wait a few days to confirm what legendary food is returning to Pizza Hut, but if it is the P'Zone, people are going to go NUTS.
