P-Valley season 2, episode 4 spoilers follow.

P-Valley season 2, episode 4 continues to tell the story of the pandemic through the lens of the strip club – and after the much-anticipated re-re-reopening of The Pynk, the club is swiftly closed down again by club goer and inspector Lauren Hawkins for COVID-19 health and safety violations.

With that, and a fight between strippers Roulette and Brazil, the episode takes a turn when an unarmed Black man is killed by a white cop, igniting protests in and around Chucalissa.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Brandee Evans explains what it meant to her to shed light on police brutality in America.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so glad Katori [Hall] added this to the storyline, because unfortunately, that's just one story, [there are] so many stories like that throughout the country and throughout the world," she said.

Discussing the importance of the episode, Evans added: "I think it was very important, and it was a reminder of some of the things that were happening heavily during the pandemic as well – beyond the public.

"But especially during the pandemic, there was so much happening during that time."

On bringing the conversation back to the mainstream, the actress continued: "So I'm just so glad that Katori is making that very difficult conversation be brought back to the forefront because sometimes, you know, when it's not hot news anymore, people like to try to forget that it happened.

"And so Katori is reminding you of what's really happening, and the things that we should remember."

P-Valley season 2 airs every Sunday on STARZ in the US and Starzplay (also available through Amazon Prime Video) in the UK.
