PA lottery player holds Mega Millions ticket worth $1M. See the winning numbers

A lucky player near Pittsburgh purchased a Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million last week, the Pennsylvania Lottery said Monday.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls selected in April 7’s Mega Millions drawing. The winning numbers are 12, 32, 49, 51 and 66.

The winner’s prize could have been even larger if the ticket matched the No. 21 Mega Ball, the lottery said. The jackpot sits at approximately $441 million before April 11’s drawing.

The Greensburg Newsstand, located along West Otterman Street in Greensburg, earned a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize. Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets are validated, the lottery said.

Those with a winning ticket should sign the back of it and call 1-800-692-7481 to initiate an online prize claim or visit palottery.com for more information.

Overall, Mega Millions players have roughly a 1 in 24 chance of winning a prize, the game says. The chances of winning a $1 million prize are about 1 in 12.6 million, and the odds of hitting a jackpot are roughly 1 in 302.5 million.

Westmoreland County continues lucky streak

Another player in Westmoreland County recently earned a separate prize worth nearly $216,000, the Pennsylvania Lottery said in another release.

The prize, worth $215,718.28, came through Premier Jackpot, one of the lottery’s online games. The connect-style, instant-win game features a progressive jackpot and a chance to multiply winnings and unlock free games, among other incentives.
