Pac-12 will play football after all: reports

The Pac-12 is joining the Big Ten in bringing back football later this fall, with its resolve cracking after a month away. Both leagues said on Aug 11. that they were postponing all fall sports to 2021, but that lasted less than two months.

On Sept. 15, the Big Ten voted to play football. On Thursday, according to multiple reports, the Pac-12 will join them with a six-game regular season and a seventh game based on the conference standings.

Both leagues have said that rapid coronavirus testing was a key part of their decision to return to play. The Pac-12 season will start in early November.
