Pace man arrested on child molestation charge: Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pace man was arrested after he allegedly took a shower with a young girl and asked her to touch him inappropriately, according to an arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

29-year-old Devin Patrick Matherne was arrested on May 2 on a felony charge of lewd behavior involving the molestation of a victim under 12 years old and a felony charge of sexual assault by an 18-year-old offender with a victim under 12 years old.

The arrest report said on April 18, Matherne got into a shower with a young girl where he exposed himself and asked her to touch his genitalia.

Matherne was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail on May 2 and, according to jail records, was given a $700,000 bond. He is still in jail.
