Pacers big man Myles Turner out indefinitely due to stress reaction in left foot
LOS ANGELES — Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Sunday that Myles Turner had "felt something" in his left foot the past few games and would be out Monday against the Clippers in Los Angeles as he sought a second opinion.
After being "examined by multiple specialists," Indiana announced Tuesday that Turner has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left foot. According to Cleveland Clinic, a stress reaction means there isn't a fracture in Turner's foot but "a stress reaction that goes untreated will develop into a stress fracture."
Turner will continue receiving treatment and be re-examined in two weeks, per the Pacers. They did not share a timetable for his return.

Turner has been a hot commodity in trade talks, but this injury could reduce his number of suitors. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the 6-foot-11 big man is expected to be sidelined through the Feb. 10 trade deadline, so opposing teams will have to "do due diligence" on the extent of his injury and roll the dice if they trade for him.

Turner is averaging a league-high 2.8 blocks per game while shooting 33.3% on 3-pointers. As the Pacers' longest tenured player, he's also averaging 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds in his seventh season with the franchise.
