Pacers at Celtics: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks

The Indiana Pacers visit Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics on Friday night for a nationally televised game, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet on BetMGM.

The game tips off at 7:30 and can be seen on ESPN.

The Celtics have returned home after ugly three-game road trip, and have lost four of their last five games. The Pacers are starting a four-game road swing, and split an early season two-game series with the Celtics back in December.

Marcus Smart is out for the Celtics, while the Pacers are still without TJ Warren, JaKarr Sampson and Caris LeVert.

Advice and prediction

The Celtics are favored on Friday, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a Celtics fan convinced their team will cover during their latest uninspiring stretch of games. Boston is just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games, and the Pacers haven’t been much better at 3-6 over their last nine.

Instead of betting the spread, the better action is on the total. Both teams have hit the over in more than 50 percent of games this season, and the over has hit in three of the last four Pacers games and four of five Celtics games. Boston has held an opponent under 110 points just once in their last five games, and I like both teams to cross that total on Friday. Take the over 219.5.

Prediction: Celtics 118, Pacers 116
