‘Pachinko’ star Soji Arai joins ‘Tokyo Vice’ Season 2

Korean Japanese actor Soji Arai, who plays Mozasu in the hit Apple TV+ series “Pachinko,” will be joining the second season of HBO Max’s “Tokyo Vice.”
The crime drama TV series, currently in production in Tokyo, stars Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe and is inspired by the real-life experiences of American journalist Jake Adelstein, who worked for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat in the late 1990s.
Arai will play the character Shingo, a single parent and former colleague of Jake's supervisor Emi, played by Rinko Kikuchi. Shingo is an editor at an elite Tokyo publication and bonds with Emi over their mutual passion for journalism.
“Tokyo Vice” is a Max Original series created, executive produced and written by Tony Award-winning playwright J.T. Rogers. Other executive producers include Adelstein, Elgort, Watanabe, Kayo Washio and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” director Destin Daniel Cretton.

In addition to Arai, Hideaki Ito, Show Kasamatsu, Takayuki Suzuki, Tomohisa Yamashita and Aoi Takeya will also be part of the cast for “Tokyo Vice” Season 2.
The "Pachinko" actor is slated to star in Prime Video’s “Dead Ringers,” an upcoming series based on the 1988 film of the same name by David Cronenberg.
