This packed, popular food hall from Doral is opening a new location in Hialeah

At Doral’s bustling Shoma Bazaar food hall, there are several things you can expect to find: Enough good food choices for all tastes. Live entertainment. A crowd, especially on the weekends or when a World Cup game is underway.

Soon, you can expect to find those same elements in Hialeah.

Shoma Bazaar, which opened in Doral in 2022 and houses vendors selling pizza, pasta, sushi, arepas, poke, burgers and more, has announced plans to open a second location in Hialeah. The destination, which is scheduled to open later this year, will be the anchor in the Shoma Group’s Shoma Village development, a luxury rental property.

Masoud Shojaee, founder and CEO of Shoma Group, said the food hall will highlight “a community of Miami’s most talented chefs and mixologists.”

“Hialeah is growing at a rapid pace, and we are so grateful to be part of its evolution,” he said.

Like its Doral counterpart, the Hialeah Shoma Bazaar will offer indoor and outdoor seating. The 10,440-square-foot space will host 10 different vendors, with a bar and multiple mixology stations to serve beer, wine and cocktails (some of them even on tap).

Vendors include the popular Venezuelan spot Doggi’s Arepa Bar and Shahs of Kabob, which serves Persian street food. Both businesses have counters in the Doral Shoma Bazaar.

Amin Evrahimi, founder of Shahs of Kabob, told the Miami Herald last year that opening at Shoma Bazaar had been a great help to his business. His first restaurant, a small space in South Miami, had been open almost five years without much fanfare. Then he opened his counter at Shoma.

“Shoma ended up being a destination, and the exposure we have gotten from being here has been very good,” he said. “The people who come here are family-oriented. They’re local Doral people. . . . and Doral is a tight-knit community. They came here, and they fell in love with the place, and they continue to come back. I’ve made a lot of friends in Doral. They’ve adopted us.”

The Hialeah food hall is still in the process of signing tenants, but other confirmed vendors are La Macha, which serves tacos and other Mexican fare; Sokai Sushi Bar; and the family-owned Amor di Pasta Italian restaurant.

Stephanie Shojaee, president of Shoma Group, said the new food hall will echo the aims of the original.

“Our inspiration for Shoma Bazaar stems from a desire to create a space for the community that showcases the very best of what Miami’s culinary and entertainment scene has to offer,” she said. “We were confident the concept would be a great anchor concept for Shoma Village in Hialeah.”
