The 2023 league year is over a week old. Here’s a quick free agency update for the Green Bay Packers, highlighting who is still unsigned among the team’s free agents:

Unsigned

S Adrian Amos: He’s leaving behind almost $8 million in dead cap on his voided deal, which might be motivating the Packers to bring him back for at least one more season. Amos, 29, was a captain last season. The Packers probably can’t afford to pay him a market-level deal.

K Mason Crosby: The Packers are getting younger elsewhere on the roster. Will that include kicker? General manager Brian Gutekunst indicated Crosby could be back, but the veteran would have to take a big paycut compared to last year.

TE Marcedes Lewis: He turns 39 in May and drew early interest from the Jets and Raiders. The Packers let Robert Tonyan go and are likely looking to rebuild the tight end position in 2023, but Lewis still has value in Green Bay if he wants to return.

WR Randall Cobb: Could he be the veteran wide receiver for the Packers in 2023? Cobb turns 32 in August and has missed at least four games in four of the last five seasons, and Aaron Rodgers will soon be in New York. Time to move on.

S Dallin Leavitt: He was a special teams stalwart last season, but the Packers prioritized re-signing Rudy Ford and Corey Ballentine, and the arrival of Tarvarius Moore might mean Leavitt departs.

LB Eric Wilson: A midseason pickup last year, Wilson was excellent down the stretch covering kicks and punts on special teams. He’s also a capable back inside linebacker. The Packers still might want to go cheaper and younger.

LB Krys Barnes: The Packers didn’t tender him as a restricted free agent, so the expectation is he’ll leave to sign elsewhere. Isaiah McDuffie is the top backup at inside linebacker.

OLB Justin Hollins: The edge rusher visited the Giants on Wednesday. He flashed some playmaking ability as a backup over the last two months of last season, but the Packers are probably looking to the draft for edge rusher depth.
