Packers host annual Empower Student Leadership event
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Packers hosted its annual Empower Student Leadership event, with more than 700 students joining the Packers for the event.
Isaiah Jackson says assisting those in need is empowerment, “It’s nice to be able to do good for the community because some people do need help here and some people do not know that it feels good to do good stuff for the community,” stated Jackson.
Green Bay Packers Community Outreach Director Amanda Wery says the organization hopes to inspire students to become the best version of themselves.

“When we look at our youth we know that they are our future and similarly, with our football team we look for character in our players. So when we look at our youth we want them to have some of those tools in their toolbox at an early age as they’re starting to get out and start their footprints in the world,” explained Wery.
Jackson says he plans to empower others by expressing gratitude.
“I really appreciate the opportunity. I’ve always wanted to help the community and give back to the community, so this is a great place to be if you want to come and help the community out. Go Pack go,” said Jackson.
The Packers have hosted the event since 2015 and this year was the first time that students statewide gathered for the event.
