Packers will play New Orleans Saints on Aug. 19 in their lone preseason game at Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers will play their lone Lambeau Field preseason game on Aug. 19, sandwiched between two preseason road games.

The Packers open their preseason schedule at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12 in Santa Clara, California, against the San Francisco 49ers, then play the New Orleans Saints at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 in Green Bay. They close out the preseason at 7 p.m. Aug. 25 in Kansas City against the Chiefs. The first two games are on Fridays and the final game in Kansas City is a Thursday. The Saints game is a Green package game.

The regular-season opener will be at 3:25 p.m. Sept. 11 against the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis.

The Saints stunned the Packers, 38-3, in the regular-season opener in 2021. The game was played in Jacksonville, Florida, because of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in New Orleans. The Packers recovered to win the next seven games and finished the season 13-4, tied with Tampa Bay for the best record in the NFL.
