Remember the Rex Ryan foot fetish story from his time as the Jets’ head coach in 2010? Aaron Rodgers remembers.

The Packers quarterback displayed his injured toe to reporters during a Nov. 24 Zoom call. More recently, Rodgers joked that “Rex Ryan probably enjoyed it” during an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show.”

The former Jets coach has been subject to witty quips ever since the rumors first surfaced in 2010 that he and his wife made foot fetish videos. Then-Patriots receiver Wes Welker went so far as to use the words “toe,” “feet” and “foot” numerous times in a press conference before a game between the Jets and Patriots. At the time, Ryan called the reports a “personal matter,” but the coach has since been able to poke fun at himself.

Rodgers, meanwhile, has been playing with a fractured pinky toe for a few weeks. He off-handedly mentioned it could be “Covid Toe” after he tested positive for the virus before the Packers’ Week 9 matchup with the Chiefs. Rodgers, who many thought was vaccinated against COVID-19 after he said he’d been immunized earlier this year, effectively lied to reporters about his vaccination status and was subject to a mandatory 10-day quarantine period before returning in Week 10.
