It wouldn’t be a training camp practice for the Green Bay Packers without a highlight play from rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs. On Family Night at Lambeau Field, Doubs added to his tally of impressive plays this summer with another spectacular catch in the one-on-one phase.

“Every single day, there’s been at least one ‘wow’ play. And that’s rare for a young guy like that,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said this week. “We’ve had some guys over the years do that, but they are all in the top 10 of Packers receiving history. Good start for him.”

Doubs didn’t take long to create his “wow” play on Friday night.

Early in one-on-ones, Doubs used vertical speed to beat cornerback Kiondre Thomas and then his impressive contested-catch ability to finish the play for a touchdown.

Later in one-on-ones, Doubs beat Thomas clean on a slant for another touchdown. He did have one missed opportunity. In a team period, Doubs got behind the coverage but a deep ball from Danny Etling was just beyond his reach (see lead photo).
