‘Pacman’ returns: Bengals’ Adam Jones arrested on 4 counts after wild incident

Tuesday morning brought a blast from the past, as Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones was arrested for three misdemeanors and a felony. There was a time that Jones, when he was going by his childhood nickname, “Pacman,” was the NFL’s prime example of bad behavior off the field. Jones ditched the nickname and settled into a quiet, productive and trouble-free second chapter of his career with the Bengals. He made up for lost time on Tuesday. Jones was arrested for assault, disorderly conduct and other charges including that he spat on a nurse after being arrested in Cincinnati’s downtown entertainment district. Jones is accused of pushing and poking someone in the eye and struggling with officers by head-butting, kicking and refusing to get into the police car. He then allegedly spat on a nurse’s hand while being booked into the Hamilton County jail just after midnight.
