Page quarterback Jake McNamara announces commitment to UTEP

A month and a half after re-opening his college recruitment, Page quarterback Jake McNamara has found his future home.

McNamara announced his commitment to UTEP on Monday.

"Extremely excited to announce that I have found my home!!! I am committed to play football at UTEP! Thank you to my coaches and family," McNamara wrote on Twitter.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound three-star recruit announced his commitment to Colorado State on June 10 but decommitted on Dec. 8 just a few days after James Norvell was announced as the new coach of the Rams.

McNamara finished the season completing 60% of his passes for 3,581 yards and 43 touchdowns to eight interceptions along with 369 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

He led Page to the Class 5A championship game where the Patriots fell short of completing an improbable comeback in a 42-34 loss to Powell. He finished 32-of-56 for 291 yards four touchdowns and 65 rushing yards.
