  1. The Dallas City Council approved paid mental health leave for Dallas firefighters on Wednesday. The measure was in response to an increase in suicides. Previously, only Dallas police officers were allowed paid mental health leave. The decision to open the library come after a frigid forecast was issued for the Dallas region. Rapid Response COVID-19 testing will also be available at the library for the homeless population.
